Meeting with Primark
During our meeting with Mr. Mehmet Özveren from Primark we agreed to generate our collaboration and start to focus on the suppliers of Primark which are actively work in Turkey.
Meeting with FLA
In this 3 years history of UW, we had a small experience in Agriculture sector in İzmir. Except this experience we never focused on agriculture too much. UW and FLA always keep in touch in Textile Sector. We want to increase our collaboration with FLA and try to make projects
Meeting with MUDEM
Mudem, one of the NGO’s working in refugee social support area, has visited us to talk about our ongoing collaborations and upcoming opportunities in the field. We have talked about their website project we have been supporting, latest developments and figures.
Meeting with ILO
On 17th December, UW participated to the meeting organized by ILO, aimed to discuss issues and possible solutions of private sector regards to employment of Syrians Under Protection.
B4G Turkconfed Meeting

Meeting with Li&Fung
Li & Fung operates one of the most extensive global supply chain networks in the world. With some 17,000 people in more than 230 offices and distribution centers across 40 different markets, have various suppliers in Turkey as well. In regard to the refugee employment rising in their supply chain,
Meeting with H&M
We visited H&M to update the collaboration with them and their suppliers all over Turkey. During the visit we underline the importance of recruiting refugees from registered organizations. At the meeting Mr. Erdoğan Şekerci and Ms. Öznur Özçelik hosted us.
Meeting with FLO
We had a meeting with FLO to introduce the SPARK Project. Also discussed the position of sales representative for stores in Mersin, Gaziantep and Hatay.
Meeting with UNCHR
We visited the Istanbul Office of UNHCR and thanks to the hospitality of Damla Taşkın, Elif Selen Ay and Erdinç Kalıntaş. It was an important meeting for us to talk about the realities of refugees who works in Turkish Labour Market and learn the perspective and supports of UNHCR.
River Island Supplier Meeting
River Island invited their suppliers to UW office to introduce parties and create a sharing environment. Following this gathering, UW will start providing assistance especially by search and selection, training modules and work permit processes whenever needed.
