Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) is a non-profit organization that works with garment brands, factories, trade unions, NGOs and governments to improve working conditions for garment workers in 11 production countries across Asia, Europe and Africa. Since the Syrian Migrant crisis began, FWF has been in ongoing dialogue with stakeholders regarding best practice for brands sourcing in Turkey. FWF takes practical steps and tests new solutions and aims to create a garment industry that is fair for everyone.
UW is in cooperation with FWF and as of June 2019, UW started to provide a local helpline service for Syrian & Turkish textile employees of the brands whom are a member of FWF. In order to provide this service FWF held a training about FWF’s complaints procedure to United Work’s employees.
